New Zealand’s Television Sweetheart  & Winner Taskmaster NZ S2

Laura Daniel (the hot one in Two Hearts*) is a prominent New Zealand comedian, actor and writer who was perhaps originally best known for being a core cast member and writer on comedy variety series Jono and Ben and the sketch show Funny Girls which she co-created and starred in alongside Rose Matafeo. 

Since then Laura has become a fixture on NZ screens, appearing regularly on comedy series 7 Days, Taskmaster NZ, Have You Been Paying Attention, acting in shows such as The Brokenwood Mysteries and My Life is Murder,  as well as a memorable stint as a reporter on Seven Sharp throughout the first year of the pandemic. She has also appeared on reality series such as Celebrity Treasure Island and Dancing With The Stars,  The Masked Singer The Project andeven The Block honestly the list goes on there.

Laura Performs live as one half of the

award winning musical comedy duo *Two Hearts alongside her writing partner (and in real life partner) Joseph Moore having sold out shows in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. They have performed on multiple New Zealand International Comedy Galas as well as multiple televised line ups as part of Just For Laughs Sydney.

Pressure Makes Diamonds was nominated for the Billy T Award in 2016, an award she was nominated for again with Two Hearts in 2018. They were then nominated for the prestigious Fred Awards in 2021. She is also a founding member of Snort New Zealand’s cult hit improv group that just completed their 10 Year residency at the Basement Theatre last month.
