Ashwyn Singh is a standup comedian, musician, and writer whose work blends incisive humour with heartfelt social commentary. An Indian immigrant turned Canadian resident, Ashwyn draws on his unique perspective to explore themes of cultural identity, immigration, and family with wit and relatability.

His viral Desi Translations series, which has over 40 million views, celebrates the artistry of Hindi and Urdu lyrics by reinterpreting everyday English phrases. Beyond social media, Ashwyn’s standup comedy tackles social issues like immigration, religion, politics, mental health, and global conflicts, highlighting the hypocrisy in human behaviour with sharp humour.

Featured on Canada’s Got Talent, CBC’s The Debaters, and major comedy festivals like Winnipeg and Halifax, Ashwyn has opened for acclaimed acts such as Mark Normand, Sammy Obeid, and Zarna Garg, establishing himself as a standout talent in comedy.

CATERING / FOOD OPTIONS:
We have a regular Bar Snack Menu which can be ordered on the night including very yummy burgers, Fries & Loaded Fries, Kaarage Chicken, Tacos, Jalapeno Bites & more.
We do not offer any full meal/dining options but our showtime of 7:30 pm suits those who wish to dine before coming to the show.
Check out Tanuki's Sake Bar & Restaurant and Tanuki's Cave (Yakatori) which is right next door!! They have a function room for larger groups - early bookings are essential.
For larger groups we recommend outside catering.

The Classic is a licensed bar. RP18 / Supervised.
Minors under 18 can be admitted if accompanied by a parent of legal guardian.
Shows may contain mature adult content that may offend some people.
Anyone looking under 25 will be asked for ID in the form of NZ Driver's License, Passport or HNZ 18+ Card.
