Careers at The Classic Comedy Club - New Zealand's home of live comedy.

You don't have to be a comedian to work in comedy, but you do need a personality. 
If you love comedy, have the patience for customer service and enjoy a laugh - you could be Classic material. 
We have casual and part-time positions to suit students and those looking for pocket money jobs. 

Current Job Vacancies: 

Bar/Venue Staff - available (Part-time)
Start October 2019
Hours: Approx 10-15 | 3-4 nights including weekends | part-time
More hours available during the November/December Xmas Season.
Duties include: serving customers on the bar, some bar knowledge and/or experience appreciated, tidying and resetting the venue for comedy shows, plus enjoying hours of live stand up comedy. 
You must be available to work between 22 November - 21 December during the busy Xmas Season.

Skills and Experience
Working knowledge of hospitality regulations and general bar service 
Understand customer service and relationships
Use initiative to troubleshoot problems calmly when under pressure
An appreciation for stand-up comedy (local & international)
Fluent English spoken and written is required for this role.
Potential for training to be Duty Manager.

As we are only open in the evenings, you must be available to work nights during the week and weekends. This job would suit someone who lives locally and has reliable transport.
