Pinchey Murray

Cameron 'Pinchey' Murray arrived on the Wellington Scene in 2003 bringing with him a sharp eye for story telling and a large nose.

Cameron 'Pinchey' Murray arrived on the Wellington Scene in 2003 bringing with him a sharp eye for story telling and a large nose.
Drifting in and out of the stand-up scene Pinchey found his voice in 2007 when a performance following no sleep saw him deliver his thoughts on the surreal world of Goths on a Boat.
It was this tack to the weird and wonderful that saw Pinch quickly climb the ranks of New Zealand comedy culminating in his winning of the 2008 National Raw Comedy Quest.

In that time he has starred in three hugely successful Festival Shows with his collaborative group - The Comedy Cure - and picked up gongs at the Wellington Comedy Awards.
He has quickly assumed the mantle of Wellington's most 'cerebral' comic and is now a popular performer.
"[Pinchey] really struck a chord with me, recalling the likes of Emo Phillips and the deadpan nature of Stephen Wright" - Lumiere Reader, 2008
