Still fresh on the New Zealand comedy scene, Maggie Rogers originally hails from the US. This is immediately evident by her louder than necessary speaking voice and general over-confidence. Though still a newbie when it comes to stand-up Maggie spent several years studying improv and sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. Her parents are very happy that they spent tens of thousands of dollars on a university degree for her to now be doing stand up comedy in rural New Zealand. Her comedy is primarily narrative and filled with stories of her family and childhood.
“Will you please not use curse words in your comedy it upsets your Grandfather” - Maggie’s Grandmother.
