JASON JOHN WHITEHEAD (Canada) in The JOKER
Find a job you love and you will never have to work another day for the rest of your life. That's was Canadian comedian JASON JOHN WHITEHEAD plan when he found stand-up comedy.
Now ten years on his new one hour show, THE JOKER, traces the pitfalls and proud moments of chasing 'the dream'. It might be different for all of us, but taking the step to start the pursuit gives us all the same kind of feeling in our guts. Fear of the unknown, the exhilaration of victory, the despair of failure at ones own hands.
JASON JOHN made his New Zealand debut at last years festival where he won many new fans and friends. So we invited him back in 2008 to perform his brand new show which he is grooming for the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.
"My name is Jason John Whitehead. I've been a comic for 10 years now. I don't suck but I did when I started. Isn't that the same for anything. I couldn't have started in front of my friends either. They would have laughed at me for the wrong reasons. Bastards. They think they're funny because they memorized Austin Powers. I wonder how their 'dreams' are coming along".
