The dynamic comedy duo returned ...
The FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS were back in 2004 with a brand NEW SHOW.
Too big for one venue New Zealand's own FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS played The Classic (1 to 8 May) followed by an extended season at Auckland's Town Hall COMEDY CHAMBER @The EDGE (12 to 15 May) at the 2004 NZ International Comedy Festival.
Not only that, the CONCHORDS will be introducing another new show packed with their songs and banter, their third new show in as many years at the Festival.
In 2003 JEMAINE CLEMENT & BRET McKENZIE were the toast of the Edinburgh Fringe, attracting a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award and the attention of leading agents and managers. Never before has a New Zealand act caused such a reaction on the competitive PRO comedy scene in the UK.
From May 1st Auckland audiences will be the first to see the duo's new show which they take to the UK in June for their first ever National Tour culminating in a much heralded return to the Edinburgh Fringe in August.
And the CONCHORDS have finally settled on the Comedy Café management in the UK , the company that managed the last two Perrier Award winners, DANIEL KITSON (2002) and DEMETRI MARTIN (2003).
And if their success in the CONCHORDS were not enough both performers have to juggle commitments to other projects. BRET McKENZIE is a key member of the band, THE BLACK SEEDS, while JEMAINE CLEMENT is one half of another duo, HUMOURBEASTS, with TAIKA COHEN.
The HUMOURBEASTS return to Auckland with their outrageously funny play, The UNTOLD TALES OF MAUI, which enjoyed and all too brief but much talked about season at The Silo Theatre in December 2003.

More on The FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS
The FLIGHT of the CONCHORDS are New Zealand's very own ultra-talented music comedy duo - JEMAINE CLEMENT and BRET McKENZIE (of the Black Seeds).
Not to be pigeon-holed as retro-ass, hi-hop, future punk, a capella, digi house, bongo rock, comedy folk , FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS cover the entire music spectrum. That's right! Everything. Yes! Everything.
