Give him a break - he's turning 40!
A 5 STAR NZ COMEDIAN
'Andrew Clay's comedic abilities are internationally unique and clever, he can entertain any audience. Very few comedians can bring the house down every time they step on stage, Andrew delivers every time.' George Sarris - Executive Producer of The NYC Underground Comedy Festival
Andrew has been a top comedian for an incredible two decades not only in New Zealand but across the English speaking world and hes showing no signs of slowing down. He's played everywhere from combats zones to prisons, from cancer wards to cruise ships. Hes still as sharp and raw as he was when he did his comedy apprenticeship 20 years ago in Australia. He returned home in '94 as the embryonic NZ comedy scene blossomed.
Not only has Andrew mastered a raft of different comedy environments in different countries, he has a remarkably eclectic list of radio and television credits from the predictable appearances in Pulp Comedy and the Comedy Gala to hosting Candid Camera and Bloopers. From being a Morning Pirate on Radio Hauraki to hosting talk back on Radio Live and guest appearances hosting Live Sport. From presenting a World Cup football highlights show for TVNZ to most recently appearing in a reoccurring role as a DHB baddie on the iconic NZ soap Shortland Street. His writing credits are equally varied, writing for late night chat shows, cartoons, documentaries and even his own comedy play. Andrew may not have done it all but hes done an awful lot of it.
