Mike Boon has been around the New Zealand comedy scene for the last 15 years developing a cult following in the late 1990s with his unique character-based comedy. He has appeared on and written for both television and radio.
After performing several New Zealand Comedy Festival shows Boon moved to the United Kingdom in 2001. There he established himself as a regular performer at The Stand comedy club in Edinburgh & Glasgow.
In 2003 Boon participated in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his one-man sketch show The Boon Show: Live based on his Internet radio show.
Boon returned to New Zealand in late 2005 to retrain as a primary school teacher. He worked quietly in the education industry until the end of 2009.
However, the itch of the boards proved too great a temptation to resist. He is now back performing brand new stand up and the musical character Don Brownmark.
In 2010 Boon is combining his comedic and educational talents in Mr Boon's Big Time Last Chance Kids Show. This all-new show is part of the New Zealand Comedy Festival in April and May.

&reminiscent of Spike Milligan& his satirical storytelling got my boy out of his slump of self-pity, and laughing again.

I have never laughed so hard. See him, while he's still unheard of. Trust me it's worth it.
Some guy called Jim who saw The Boon Show: Live
